So I finally brought myself to bottling up my Gum bleeder Imperial IPA, and well it’s dang nagit great! Having an estimated IBU of over 280 I was expecting a darn right nasty dry mouth giving bitter beer. But it turns out it’s got great flavor without a too overwhelming bitterness. I mean it is pretty bitter, it’s an IIPA, but it’s good! But getting back to things, I bottled it up and am now anxiously waiting to bust them open. The tasters can often be to good and tempting, patience!!!
So we are at Day 11, FG was taken 2 days ago and we nailed it, 1.018. Right now I’m letting it sit to clarify a bit. Going for a good nice clean looking beer this time around. The tasting when the FG was taken was unlike the past beers. It actually tasted good like a real beer that just went flat. I’m really not sure what to make of that since it’s before carbonation and the last beers tasted like water and then became a quite good malty and bitter beverage. Patience is a virtue and this beer is going o be the test of mine.
