Batch #1 will finally be fully conditioned and matured and ready for drinking in about 4 days. Tonight the labels will be going on and hopefully a sample will be taken and enjoyed. This being my first batch and home brew ever I am thoroughly excited and have been anticipating this batch for just about a month now. The True Brew IPA is just about to be tasted! I put one bottle in the fridge to take the sample from, I noticed a decent layer of yeast sediment which got me excited about the prospects.
After 2 weeks in the primary the FG reading finally made it to 1.020 so it was time to bottle. I ended up with just under 4 gallons of this coffee based wake me up stout. All 4 gallons were bottled into 22oz amber bomber bottles. I filled about 21 bottles, one bottle more than the Batch#1. I plan to condition this wonderful stout for at least a month if not longer. I really want to get a good rich taste from it.
