Ever since I was a little boy I enjoyed the look of a Beer Tap. Maybe it was the magic behind the action of pulling it, or maybe it was the unique shapes and designs, these columns of beer dispensing goodness. A delicate tug and you are rewarded with fresh, cold, deliciousness. Well I finally made the effort, did the deed, and built a “keezer” (a kegerator made out of a chest freezer).
The Keezer is built from a 7.0 Cubic ft GE Chest Freezer. I built a 10″ collar to house the Love TS-210 Love Controller as well as the two Chrome Faucets for beer dispensing. This collar allowed for placement of a 5gal corney keg to sit a top the freezer compressor hump that resides in the GE Chest freezer. I also built a custom co2 tank and regulator caddy, this is a nice self contained unit that can be easily removed, from the keezer as well as allowing the removal of the tank alone. It also doubles as a safety harness for the co2 tank in case the co2 tank decides to try and commit suicide and jump off the hump.
Well like most things these days pictures are worth 1,000 words so here we go.
