I have been a long time craft or micro brew fan, I never got the same joy drinking a macro brew. I like the various styles and flavors and creativeness that comes from the craft/micro breweries as well as some of the historic trappist breweries in Europe. These beers are truly works of art and a delicious one at that. But like many people that have this same level of taste in beer realizes is like most things, this gourmet beer carries along the price tag to match.
In an effort to help save my wallet as well as feed my love for craft beers I came to the conclusion that I should start home brewing. I feel i am a creative and good chef especially when it comes to making soups. I’ve also read many places that there is much enjoyment found in the process of home brewing, the enjoyment of the actual brew process, the fascination of watching the fermentation, and even the fun in bottling or kegging. So I figured what the heck lets investigate this new possible hobby .
I spent a few weeks or close to a month researching, reading, investigating, proding, and probing to get all the information I could about home brewing. With all that wonderful new found knowledge I knew what i needed to get started and the only thing left was the task of finding the best deal on home brewing equipment.
You don’t really need much to be a home brewer, in fact there are even table top 2 liter bottle home brew kits. Granted it only brews about 1.5 liters of beer which isn’t going to last very long in comparison to the length of time it took to create that 1.5 liters of beer.
With the proper kit and or equipment picked out there is nothing holding you back from creating the most delicious home brewed beer you can make.
